I'm always running super far behind on posting, but this one takes the cake (hahaha). It's from six years ago! I ran across it today because Gayle's birthday was this week, and it came up in Timehop. (Happy birthday, Gayle and Shelley!) Anyway, I'm posting it because I really always liked the way it came out. I was asked to match the look of the cake to the watercolor paint look of the invitation, as well as to match the font on the invitation. Since my cake writing always looks pretty much the same, I was excited to try to produce a specific font. And I love the schmeary icing with beautiful colors. The shades on the cake were a little more muted than the invitation, but it still captured the look and feel.
