I grew up making these domino brownies, and I made them a few years ago for the kids' preschool end-of-the-year show. I think they're adorable, and perfect for kid functions, but meticulously applying each of those mini-chocolate chips took forever!
This time around, I had a brilliant idea. (Get ready, because here comes the professional tip!) (No guesses as to why I didn't think of this before.)
Instead of inverting mini-chocolate chips, use a small piping tip - size 3 or 4 - and pipe tiny dots of colored frosting. Just as cute, just as authentic-looking, and you can make any color you want. Best of all, I finished the whole tray in about five minutes!
