what to do with extra pie crust

When my friend Gina was little, her mom would roll out and cookie-cut extra pie crust, sprinkle it with sugar, and bake it. I always do that with my extra crust, and it always makes me think of them. Theresa's been sick recently, so I'm sending out lots of love and good wishes for a speedy recovery.

I sprinkled these pie crust rounds with brightly-colored rainbow sanding sugar. Boy-o came wandering out in the back yard when I was taking pictures, wearing just a diaper. He got an unexpected treat, and I got to kiss his soft belly.
