hot time, summer in the city...

Doesn't this weather want to make you sit in an ice bath, drinking a Slurpee? Maybe that's just me, but I am sitting at the dining room table with the fan blowing directly on me, and it's still awfully hot.

Just getting around to posting these pictures - taken by the lovely Josh - of the pizza cookie ice cream sandwiches I made a couple of weekends ago. (For those who didn't catch that post, these are oatmeal-peanut butter-M&M cookies, not cookies made out of pizza. Ick.) For a festive twist, I rolled the edges in rainbow sprinkles. The kids loved 'em. Adults, too.

Makes me think I should take all my food pictures al fresco. The front porch apparently makes a nice backdrop, and the color is amazing.

Lovely! Pizza cookies does make me think of pizza though. Needs a new name.

Okay, so I had been spacing out my consumption of these (Jami gave us four when we first moved in to our new place) to allow time for Juston to eat at least one. But he is just too slow, so I finished the last one last night. That's right, I ate all four of them by myself. So good! I'm ready for another four...
